How scoring works in Hearts
Hearts is a trick-taking card game where players try to AVOID winning tricks containing hearts (1 point each) or the queen of spades (13 points). The first player to reach 100 points loses; lowest total wins. Shooting the moon — taking all hearts AND the queen of spades in one hand — gives every OTHER player 26 points instead. Each hand is one row on the scorecard; the running total per player is summed at the top. Lowest total wins.
